Zahara and her boyfriend are engaged.
After accepting her longtime partner’s marriage proposal, South African singer Zahara has formally taken herself off the market. Zahara’s immediate family and a few close friends were present when engineer Mpho Xaba proposed to her on Friday at her home in Johannesburg.
The singer informed her followers of the happy news on Twitter on Saturday by posting an image and a video of the engagement. “When other males in my life were busy conducting load shedding, I found myself a generator,” Zahara added in the caption of the photo. As a consequence of the congratulations her fans sent her, the post quickly gained popularity and Zahara started trending on Twitter.
