Eskom has declared a decrease in load-shedding.
Stage four load shedding will apparently continue under ESKOM.
MyBroadBand has reported that Eskom intends to keep load shedding at stage four until further notice. Instead of raising the stage to 5 in the evenings, this will be done. According to the company, the new modification was because of some recovery they had in generation capacity in the preceding 24 hours.
Nevertheless, additional information regarding the alleged “recovery” was not provided. Initially, it was intended to alternate load-shedding throughout the day. There is stage 4 during the day (05:00 to 16:00), followed by stage 5 at night (16:00 to 05:00 the next day). Must be completed by Wednesday.
The utility has also stated that it intends to give an update as soon as anything important happens. Moreover, reports stated that load shedding had been adopted daily by 2023. In comparison to 2020, there have been more days (3 months) with load shedding.
